The Lang Way Doon (www.langwaydoon.co.uk) is a continuous cycle the length of Scotland (325 miles), via Braemar, with a considerable amount of climbing (19,000 ft). The challenge is to do so in less than 24 hours which will be a different kind of pedalling to our usual club fast/frantic 50-80 mile cycles.

We are doing the cycle to raise funds and awareness for 2 special charities – Childrens Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) and Simpsons Memory Box Appeal (SiMBA). We would love to have some additional comrades along the way, or for the entire length if you’re fit enough for the challenge!

We plan on pacing 15-16mph average with a 10 minute stop every 30 miles for a stretch and feed. We also have a support vehicle (or 2 if we can recruit additional drivers/vehicles).
